A minute of fame with “Lancôme Celebrates Creativity: Developing Youth In Arts” project

“When I was younger, I remember folding a lot of these little paper rosettes, which incidentally is an emblem of Lancôme and roses always remind everyone of timelessness and beauty,” says 16-year-old Janel Ang, a Visual Arts major.

“We experimented with acrylic plastic and magnifying glass but the distortions did not work. Finally, we settled on water,” reveals Kirti Upadhyaya, 14, another Visual Arts major.

New beginnings for SOTA

“I am very pleased to note the progress that SOTA has made in the two short years since its inception. SOTA students have made us proud...,” commented Acting Minister for Ministry of Information, Communications and the Arts, Mr Lui Tuck Yew as he celebrates SOTA’s commencement of the new 2010 academic year at a new permanent campus nestled within the Bras Basah Creative District.
